Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Kayla brings more than 10 years of hands-on therapy experience to the Carolina Therapeutic Ranch team. Early on in her career, she treated patients of all ages with myriad diagnoses – from strictly orthopedic patients to those with severe neurological conditions.

In 2016, Kayla shifted her focus to pediatrics and worked with children of all ages with various medical conditions. A year later, she began utilizing hippotherapy as a therapy approach – and that’s all it took. She was hooked! Seeing children reach their goals while on horseback is exciting and enormously fulfilling. Now, Kayla is exclusively dedicated to the Ranch.

Kayla earned her Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Degree from Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington, and is licensed to practice physical therapy in both North Carolina and South Carolina. In her free time, Kayla loves to take road trips, find new recipes to cook at home, participate in outdoor activities, and tinker with repairing Braille Writers.
